We respect player privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can get in touch with us.
For simplex.gg, the data controller is the simplex.gg operator. You can contact us at contact@simplex.gg for privacy questions.
When you use simplex.gg, we collect data needed to run the service: Path of Exile account details returned by OAuth (such as account ID, account name, and locale), account preferences, linked device details (device ID, platform, app version), and content you create (for example builds, follows, and feedback submissions).
We use an HTTP-only session cookie (`simplex_session`) to keep web users signed in. We also process security and operational metadata (such as session IDs, hashed device refresh tokens, request metadata, and rate-limit identifiers like IP address in some cases) to prevent abuse and protect accounts.
We use personal data to authenticate users, link devices, sync builds and guides, deliver notifications, process support/feedback, maintain security, and improve product performance.
Where required by law, we process data based on one or more legal bases: performance of a service you request (for example account login and syncing), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, reliability), and consent where a feature specifically asks for it.
simplex.gg relies on third-party services to operate, including authentication providers, cloud infrastructure and database providers, analytics services, and community/support platforms. These services process data according to their own privacy policies.
We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals with a separate tracking mode. We do not run our own cross-site behavioral advertising tracker across third-party websites. Third-party providers we use may process request or analytics data under their own policies.
We retain data only as long as needed for the service and security. Session and login artifacts expire automatically, while account and build data are kept until removed, anonymized, or no longer required for legitimate operational purposes.
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
From account settings, you can manage notification preferences and disconnect linked devices. You can also sign out at any time. For additional privacy requests, contact us by email.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or complaint with a supervisory authority. We handle valid requests through contact@simplex.gg.
Questions? Email contact@simplex.gg and we will respond as soon as possible.
